Audiences and CSV imports
Audiences are Business features stored in the customer Runtime. Open Campaigns, then use the Audiences and Contacts areas.
Create an audience
Section titled “Create an audience”Create a stable audience with a clear name and description. Add contacts individually or import CSV. A contact is keyed by normalized email and can carry profile fields used by templates. Removing a contact from one audience does not silently remove unrelated memberships.
Chunked CSV import
Section titled “Chunked CSV import”Prepare UTF-8 CSV with an email column and consistent headers. Start an import, review the mapping, then upload chunks. The Runtime records accepted and rejected rows per import, so a browser interruption does not require restarting successful chunks.
Inspect totals and row diagnostics. Fix rejected rows and retry failed work; cancel an active import to stop new processing, or delete a finished/canceled record when no longer required. Verify consent outside CFsend.
Before a campaign
Section titled “Before a campaign”Check audience count, sample contacts and required template variables. Suppressions and subscription preferences are enforced at send time, so delivered count can be lower than audience count. Send a test first, then monitor campaign and delivery logs.
